Subject:Chocolate...from clay? ;)
Time:01:52 pm
I adore real chocolate (duh), and I love to bake. So when I started making miniature food from polymer clay it was only natural to make some chocolate goodies, and I wanted to share them with you guys. Unlike the real kind, these don't go straight to my hips. ;)

one more pic behind the cutCollapse )

Enjoy, and if you like them, please check out my journal for more!

Now I need real chocolate though. :D

Subject:Hello! (apologies for cross-posting)
Time:07:42 pm
I'm a new member, and also a shameless self-promoter. I've just started a new chocolate community, and we're pretty small right now, but hopefully more people will come over, have a look, and possibly join in. The community is called Wonderful World of Chocolate and located over at chocolateworld. A word of warning: Wonderful World represents the blogging presence of a small business based in St. Louis, MO called Cioccolato that imports chocolate primarily from Europe, so scattered in my posts are links to pages on our site where you can actually purchase what I'm blabbering on about. Feel free to link to your own favorite products in your posts, if you choose to join - it's not going to be a chocolate dictatorship, and I do want to foster fun discussions in addition to hopefully selling a few things. And I promise not to clog up this community with any further advertisements =)

Subject:chocolate molds!
Time:03:42 pm
Hi everybody, new member :p I was just wondering if any of you have worked with chocolate molds before - for hearts, truffles and the like. And also, if you filled the chocolate with anything, how did you go about doing that?

I'm interested in making molds with a truffle interior, and am trying to figure out how to go about it. Could I coat the bottom and sides of the mold with the chocolate, let that harden, fill the mold, and then fill it with chocolate? I'm open to any ideas.

Thank you so much!!

Well, hi.  Found this by accident and thought I'd join.  I love dark chocolate, especially when it's paired with orange, lemon or raspberry cream.  Two friends just brought me back a total 3 pounds of Fannie Mae Candy from Chicago (where I used to live, and it's not available down here in Arizona), custom-made boxes of dark chocolate orange and lemon creams, with a stripe of Trinidads down the middle for spice.  Life is good.  :)

Subject:Is The Most Expensive Chocolate Truly the Best?
Time:11:35 am
Current Mood:satisfiedsatisfied

I've recently joined this community.  I LOVE chocolate!  I have been to Belgium to the "Chocolate Museum" and have the good fortune of living relatively close to Ghirardelli and Scharffen-Berger . (The latter is where I find an excuse to tour as much as I can with friends and family!)

Recently, an article in Dallas Food sparked my attention.  It seems the "New Darling" of the chocolate world, NoKA, may have to answer as to exactly why they are the most expensive.

Isn't marketing a clever thing?

Hey!
I'm new one here. Well as a typical chocolate lover [white, pink, with raspberries, dark, sweet...mwa!] I just adore choco-cakes. They taste sooooo perfect too! :)

i need to find something to do with a couple pounds of raw whole peruvian criollo cacao beans. not nibs, not roasted, real beans. they're okay to snack on, but certainly not a "treat."
any ideas?
i don't think i have nearly enough to make even an ounce of chocolate.
